CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT – GENERAL
Solfarina Run Pty Ltd has a NO ALCOHOL, NO DRUGS and NO SMOKING policy in the workplace.
Interference with the privacy of other employees, owners or management will not be tolerated and will result in instant dismissal.
Employees will be required to provide Tax File Number, bank details, copy of visa and Superannuation Details in accordance with Tax Office requirements. When employees provide these details you will be issued with a Picker Number.
Employees are asked to provide a mailing address for correspondence to be forwarded to.
WAGES
Employees’ wages will be paid by Direct Credit to a nominated bank account. The pay week will commence Thursday and finish Wednesday. Pay’s will be available Thursdayss. Payslips will be emailed. If you should need to go to the office we ask that you restrict this to between 3pm and 4pm on off pay days otherwise please see the Orchard Manager for any enquiries.
HOURS OF WORK
Hours of work will be Monday to Sunday inclusive, Summer hours are 5am to 8pm and an employee may be asked to work their day within this span of hours.
An employee will not work more than 152 hours in the months of November, December and January and no more than 8 hours per day for the other months of the fruit harvest.
First Aid
First Aid kits are located in the packing shed lunchroom, all farm vehicles, orchard amenities building and the office. All accidents, injuries and illness need to be reported in the register in the Packing Shed.
Employees should notify management of any medical condition that may put themselves or others in danger in case of emergency.
VISITORS
No visitors are permitted on the property without the prior approval of management.
SPEED LIMIT
The property has a speed limit of 25kph for all vehicles. The property has a high traffic flow and employees should be aware of this at all times.
RESTRICTED AREAS
With the exception of pickers moving between orchards, seasonal employees are not permitted on areas of the farm other than the packing shed, camping area and orchards.
No persons are at anytime permitted in the Cattle Feedlot Area this is a bio security issue.
Camping Facilities
On–Farm Camping Facilities
Solferino Camping Facilities are located on the property and offer basic Kitchen with Amenities & Laundry. There are powered caravan / motor-home / campervan sites, powered tent sites and non-powered tent sites. Camp rules and regulations are applicable. Your own Motor Vehicle Transportation is necessary to travel between camps, orchards & town for food / personal supplies.
Bookings are made by completing the accommodation booking form.

Pets are to be restrained at all times and owners will clean up after them.
NO PETS IN THE ORCHARD, PACKING SHED OR AMENTITIES BLOCK.
The amenities block is for your use only and we ask that you treat it as you would your own.
Keep it clean and tidy!
Noise is to be limited after 9.30pm with no loud music after this. Disruption, fighting, bullying and sexual harassment to other campers will not be tolerated and will result in instant dismissal and removal from the property.
No-one is to be in the Office yard between 5pm and 9am for any reason.
